Higher - Design

I chose City and Colour for my Higher Design piece where, like my Intermediate 2, i was to design a CD cover. As they are more of an acoustic band, i chose to focus on the guitar shape. I incorporated this into a city skyline for my final design.

Higher - Expressive

This is my Higher Expressive piece. I enjoyed drawing the cloth and the masks and loved drawing the rose in a stylised way.

Intermediate 2- Design

This is my final sheet for my Intermediate 2 Design work. I chose the Beatles as i grew up being brainwashed by my father who loves them. I've grown to love them and chose them to design a CD cover for. I was inspired by the 60's psychedelic period and their album ' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' and the video they made for 'Yellow Submarine'.

Intermediate 2 - Expressive Work

This is my Intermediate 2, Expressive art work. My final piece featured my cat in my back garden with a beautiful butterfly landing on an exotic flower. I used pastels for my final piece. The second pastel drawing was part of my research. I was interested in how ivy leaves were drawn in different ways and i experimented using paint on top of the pastels to bring the butterfly to life.

Peacock Feather

These drawings are part of the Analytical Drawing class i attended in my NQ Portfolio course. I was to draw an object in different ways, using different medias and styles. I used pastels, promarker pen, watercolour paints, coloured pencils and acrylic paints.
